For his first halloween, Palmer dressed up as a monkey. This year, we dressed him up as a football player. He got to wear his costume to "school" that day. That night, we took Palmer around the neighborhood with Brayden Smith. You can see all of our halloween pictures here.

Jump Around
On Saturday, October 9, Palmer went to his first kiddie birthday party. It was Brayden Smith's first birthday.
During the party, Patrick Allen picked Palmer up and put him on the neighbor's trampoline. The result was comical.
The video below is one that Jeramie Mullis made and posted on his blog. You can see the live footage here.
Thanks for posting the video Jeramie.

Playing Ball - 13 Months
Palmer loves to play ball. "Ball" was his first word only a few days after we filmed him playing here. After he learned to say "Ball", he said it about 1,000 times a day.

New Tricks
Palmer is growing up fast. He has added a lot to his arsenal of tricks. In the video below you can get a peek into his world.
He briefly shows an affinity for throwing and kicking things, which could be a good sign that he will be into sports. I think having "ball" be his first word is a good sign, too.
What was your favorite part?

Ball
We're pretty sure that Palmer has said his first word. He walks around saying, "ball, ball, ball...". We're not sure that he can connect the actual ball to what he's saying because it's like he says it for everything.
Here are a few pictures taken by his Aunt Leslie that show Palmer with balls.
Oh yeah, I guess we didn't post anything about Palmer being able to walk. I've taken some video of that. Maybe I'll make it a point to get that up on youtube.

Learning to Stand
Kim here. We just got back from Florida to attend a wedding and to celebrate my birthday. While we were hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa Denman's house, Palmer stood up all by himself for quite a long time. He did have some assistance from Daddy at first, but he did awesome! You can see the video here.

Keeping My Teeth Clean
Yesterday, I hit the nine month mark. I went to the doctor to get stabbed the other day and they said I weighed 21 pounds, 9 ounces. I'm not sure how tall I am, but I feel like I'm growing.

A letter to Daddy
Hi Daddy!
Mommy told me that you had a birthday yesterday. What's a birthday? I think I had one of those once because you guys sang a song to me that had "happy birthday" in it. I think it was that day about 9 months ago when I came out of Mommy's tummy and got to meet you both for the first time. Anyway, Mommy says that you are 28. I don't know what that means, but I think it means that you're really old.
Do you like being my daddy? You seem to smile a lot when I'm around. You make me laugh. A lot. And you take lots of pictures of me on that small electronic device with the orange light. And then you put them on that thing you call the internets. Do you write about me on there too? Maybe when I get old... maybe when I'm 28... I can read what you wrote about me.
Thank you for being my dad. Thanks for feeding me, changing my diapers, giving me baths, reading to me, making me laugh, hanging me upside down, tickling my belly, and giving me clean clothes to wear. And you're nice to that mommy too. You make a good pair. I know that everyone says that I look like Mommy, but I think that I have your sense of humor. And I'm really smart, just like you.
Well, I should go now. Mommy says that you are going out to dinner tonight. I'll miss you. I love you, Daddy!
