A letter to Daddy

Hi Daddy!

Mommy told me that you had a birthday yesterday. What's a birthday? I think I had one of those once because you guys sang a song to me that had "happy birthday" in it. I think it was that day about 9 months ago when I came out of Mommy's tummy and got to meet you both for the first time. Anyway, Mommy says that you are 28. I don't know what that means, but I think it means that you're really old.

Do you like being my daddy? You seem to smile a lot when I'm around. You make me laugh. A lot. And you take lots of pictures of me on that small electronic device with the orange light. And then you put them on that thing you call the internets. Do you write about me on there too? Maybe when I get old... maybe when I'm 28... I can read what you wrote about me.

Thank you for being my dad. Thanks for feeding me, changing my diapers, giving me baths, reading to me, making me laugh, hanging me upside down, tickling my belly, and giving me clean clothes to wear. And you're nice to that mommy too. You make a good pair. I know that everyone says that I look like Mommy, but I think that I have your sense of humor. And I'm really smart, just like you.

Well, I should go now. Mommy says that you are going out to dinner tonight. I'll miss you. I love you, Daddy!
